We are looking for an SAS Reporting Programmer to join our team!

The SAS Reporting Programmer will work closely with the Biostatistics, Data Management, Regulatory Operations & Statistical Programming groups to support the quality of clinical databases and contribute to the analysis and reporting of clinical trial data.

In this position you will:

  • Develop and execute SAS programs in accordance with specifications to support tasks completed by the Research Operations (RO) team. Including, but not limited to:
    • External programmatic clinical database checks to ensure data integrity and consistency within a study’s Electronic Data Capture (EDC) system.
    • Reconciliation checks of external data sources (e.g. central labs, IXRS, and safety database) against the clinical database.
    • Data trending reports to support data management, risk-based monitoring, and core lab tasks.
    • Project management/adjudication operational reports.
  • Work with Data Manager, Lead SAS programmer and statisticians to develop specifications that define program requirements used to generate edit checks, analysis datasets, tables, listings and figures.
  • Contribute to the development of standardized programming and processes.
  • Maintain company standards in programs, datasets and directory structure.
  • Participate in the preparation/review of Data Management process control documents, including but not limited to Data Management Plans, External Clinical Database Edit Check Specifications, reconciliation plans, and Data Transfer Agreements.
  • Assist with validation of databases and software as needed including user acceptance testing.
  • Assist with the transfer of data to other individuals within CPC or to sponsors/vendors.
  • May support the development, validation and execution of SAS programs in accordance with established specifications as needed for the reporting and presentation of data and development of derived datasets to meet client needs.
  • Establish and maintain a positive relationship with the study team that fosters confidence, facilitate problem resolution, and enhance the integrity of data and deliverables.
  • Effectively document and communicate requirements, timelines and progress of deliverables.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments at CPC to optimize cross-department functionality.

Here’s what you will need to bring to the table:

  • A minimum of 1 year experience programming in SAS (v9.2+), preferably in a Windows environment.
  • A minimum of 1 year experience working in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry or other regulated healthcare setting is preferred.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in science or related field is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Data Management practices of pharmaceutical product development highly desirable.
  • Good interpersonal communication skills, organizational skills and a great attention to detail.
  • Ability to work as a member of a team.
  • Ability to comprehend study documentation and archival processes.
  • Ability to be compliant with FDA, ICH-GCP/regional regulatory guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures.
